Francis Kubala, our Director of the Content Analytics Division, joined Probity in 2013. Francis is fascinated by spoken language and passionate about Machine Learning methods that extract information from audio. His team developed the first real-time rich transcription engine for English in 1998 and the first real-time satellite news transcription and translation system for non-English media in 2003.
He loves the outdoors, wildlife, the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and Cape Cod. He is a self-taught home builder and backyard landscaper. His bookshelves are filled with field guides, biographies, and mathematics.
